Cloudflare

One connectivity layer for every region you operate in

Distributed companies rarely struggle because of a single bad server. They struggle because traffic, identity and security are handled differently in every country they touch. We put Cloudflare in front of all of it, then run it as one platform with one policy set.

  • One policy plane across 330+ cities
  • A reference design proven in one region first
  • Configuration kept in version control, not in a console
Capabilities

What we build on Cloudflare

Four product families delivered as a single architecture. Multi-region customers care most about having one policy plane rather than per-country exceptions.

Application security at scale

Every public property inherits the same baseline, and exceptions become deliberate decisions rather than local improvisations.

  • WAF rules managed as code with Terraform
  • API Shield for machine-to-machine traffic
  • Bot Management applied uniformly across regions
  • Unmetered DDoS mitigation, L3 to L7

Zero Trust for a distributed workforce

One set of access policies covers every office and every contractor, whichever country they connect from.

  • Access as a single policy plane for all regions
  • Gateway egress control applied per region
  • CASB and DLP across your SaaS estate
  • Browser Isolation for high-risk roles

Global developer platform

Deploy once and run everywhere, instead of maintaining parallel stacks in each region you sell into.

  • Workers deployed globally in one step
  • R2 as a multi-region object store
  • D1 and KV for state at the edge
  • Queues for cross-region processing

Corporate network services

Sites, data centres and cloud VPCs meet on Cloudflare's backbone rather than in a mesh of bilateral tunnels.

  • Magic WAN as a global backbone
  • Cloudflare Network Interconnect
  • BYOIP for your own address prefixes
  • Load balancing with regional steering

How we work

Reference design first, then region by region

Rolling a platform change into every country at once is how outages become international. We prove the design somewhere small and repeat it.

  1. 1

    Reference design

We map domains, origins, identity providers and current tooling across your regions, then define one baseline configuration plus the exceptions each jurisdiction genuinely requires.

  2. 2

    Region by region rollout

The baseline is proven in a single region, measured, then applied elsewhere. Rules observe before enforcing everywhere, so a mistake in the design costs you one market rather than all of them.

  3. 3

    Operating model

We agree who owns which change, keep the configuration in version control, and review traffic and blocked threats with you on a fixed cadence rather than only after incidents.

FAQ

Questions we hear about Cloudflare

Still unclear on something? Our engineers will answer directly, without a sales script.

Ask our team

Region by region, not everywhere simultaneously. One market goes first and becomes the reference configuration, then the same policy set is applied elsewhere with only the deliberate local exceptions. That way a mistake costs you one region, not all of them.

Requests are handled at the Cloudflare location closest to the user, which is the point of the network. What you control is which logs are retained, for how long, and whether they are forwarded to your own SIEM. Where a jurisdiction constrains this, we document the arrangement before deployment.

The product is the same. What changes is who designs the configuration, migrates your traffic, and owns it afterwards. You get one contract, invoicing in your currency, and engineers who already know your environment when something breaks.

Yes, and for estates of any size we recommend it. Rules, DNS records and access policies can live in Terraform and go through your normal review process, which means changes are auditable and a rollback is a revert rather than an archaeology exercise.

We offer managed plans with agreed response times, monthly reviews of traffic and blocked threats, and change handling as your applications evolve. If you prefer to run it yourself, we hand over documentation and train your team instead.

Turn a per-country patchwork into one platform

Tell us which regions you operate in and what protects them today. We will come back with a baseline design, the exceptions we would keep, and a rollout order.
